Kiet had a strong amateur career, winning the European Men’s Club Trophy in 2021, finishing runner up in both the Dutch Amateur Championship and the Dutch National Open Championship and was fourth in the Dutch National Strokeplay Championship. In 2022 he won the Voorjaarswedstrijd Championship and was runner-up in the Dutch National Strokeplay Championship, sixth in the Lytham Trophy and the Portuguese Amateur. He hit the ground running as a pro in 2023, winning three time on the Alps Tour, which earned him automatic promotion to the European Challenge Tour. he enjoyed wins at the Alps de Las Castillas, Memorial Giorgio Bordoni and the Open de la Mirabelle d’Or.
